Leonard Nimoy

While I'm at it - I may as well mention something I heard on the radio this morning. While drinving to ITT, I was listenig to "Weekend Edition" and came across a story about Leonard Nimoy and his picture taking. The first thing that caught my attention was the hosts mispronounciation of the word, "photography." Living in Utah, I hear this a lot. The word, folks, is "phOtography" there is no "er" in the middle of the word. It is not pronounced, "phERtography." People say photograph, so why can't you say it right when an "er" or "y" is added to the end?
