He says he's "shocked."

OK - according to the AP, Ken Lay is, "Shocked." Shocked at what?

From the AP - "Certainly we're surprised," a shaken Lay said Thursday after a jury capped a four-month-long fraud and conspiracy trial and in its sixth day of deliberations returned guilty verdicts against him and Skilling. "I think it's more appropriate to say we're shocked. This is not the outcome we expected."

What, Ken, did you expect? You are a LIAR and a CROOK. One count of Conspiracy, two counts of Wire Fraud and three counts of Securities Fraud. Crook. Liar. . . Shocked? Are you kidding me?

But wait, there's more. Act now and you will receive convictions on four counts of Bank Fraud and Making False Statements to banks in a totally separate trial having to do with your personal finances. Making false statements. Do you know what that means, Ken. YOU ARE A LIAR!!!! Fraud - CROOK. Bastard.

J-Dawg Skilling was convicted of 19 counts of fraud, conspiracy and insider trading. 19. I wish I could caps numbers. 19. Oh wait - NINETEEN. There.

"Obviously, I'm disappointed," the former Enron chief executive said. "But that's the way the system works."

The judge set Sept. 11 as the sentencing date. 9/11? How convenient. Guess what? I'm giving odds - 22-1 that President Bush pardons them during his 11th hour in 2009. I have no doubts about it.

So - Skilling faces up to 185 years in prison. Lay can get up to 45 years for the Conspiracy and Fraud Convictions and the personal finance case can add 120 years - 30 years for each of the four counts. They could very easily die in prison. And none of that white-collar country club bullshit. Chain-gang their asses. Nothing beats 60 year old gabajillionaires digging trenches on the side of the road. But no - Martha paved the way.
